This is a lovely original vintage handbag dating back to the 1970s made of sturdy tan brown leather which appears to have been stitched onto a cardboard frame. The bag is fashioned in a tooled style and was most probably brought back from Egypt in the 1970s at the height of the new tourist industry, since it features a camel design to the front. The bag also features fringing and ethnic prints, plus a turn-lock closure to the front which is tarnished from age but works fine.
Inside is lined in yellow silky acetate and there is one small slot pocket.
In overall great condition. There is a small water stain inside and the outer corners of the leather are marked slightly, however there are protective metal studs to the base to help prolong its life. There is a cigarette smoke smell inside, but this should fade with use.
Ideal as an everyday hand bag.
